We are seeking to appoint a dynamic, ambitious and passionate teacher to join our strong and high-performing Languages team. We are looking for someone who is an excellent teacher and who can promote their love of languages to our students. This is an exciting opportunity for an excellent classroom practitioner to join a fantastic team and school. A passion for languages and the many opportunities they can open for students is key.
The successful candidate will join a close, friendly and supportive team of teachers, all of whom are specialists in the subject. We are looking for a candidate with the skills and experience to make a real difference and develop our students’ love of languages. We are looking for someone who will be a team player in this oversubscribed, friendly and high-achieving school where we challenge all students and staff to be the best they can be.
We are looking for:
- a teacher of French or Spanish to GCSE level with a track record of excellent student progress (either from an ITT programme or current/previous post) and the ability to teach French and Spanish at Key Stage 3

- an innovative thinker who is able to find creative solutions and think on their feet
- a driven and motivated professional who works hard and always strives to ensure students have the very best learning experience in languages
- a teacher who is keen to develop and progress within the profession
We are looking for someone with the commitment and energy to continue to drive forward our high standards and high outcomes in languages. Our teachers also have excellent support from our extended Student Support Team, including the Welfare Team, Engagement Team and Learning Support team. We have a team of excellent and dedicated teachers, tutors and Middle Leaders across the school and our students are a delight to work with and achieve consistently excellent progress in their GCSEs (P8 + 0.88 2024).
We have a strong induction programme for all new staff, and support staff through their ECT programme, and support more experienced staff with undertaking NPQs. As part of a multi academy trust there are many opportunities for collaboration and sharing of good practice across the member schools.
We are an oversubscribed and friendly school with big ambitions and our staff and students are “proud to belong … proud to achieve”. Our growing school has undergone significant refurbishment over the last three years, including a recent state-of-the-art extension to our Drama studio and a new English block and library completed in August 2024.
We are an 11-16 Academy of 900 students and our school is situated in a fantastic location on the outskirts of Haslemere. Haslemere lies in Surrey, on the border with Hampshire and West Sussex and we have excellent road and rail links to neighbouring counties. We are situated just 3 minutes’ drive off the main A3 and we are also fortunate to have a train station in Haslemere on the mainline from Portsmouth to London Waterloo. This makes us very accessible from the South Coast or outer London areas by train or car.
