23/10/2026Our students arrived in Ypres this morning, and not a minute has been wasted!
A visit to Hill 60, the WWI battlefield memorial site South of Ypres, was particularly moving.
Next, Cloth Hall. Built in the 1200’s but left in ruins after WWI, it was meticulously reconstructed between 1933-1967. Students then headed to Menin Road, the site of the Battle of the Menin Road Ridge.
A favourite stop for the group was a visit to the Hooge Crater Museum where students were bowled over by the life-size reconstructions of WWI battle scenes and trenches.
Dinner and a visit to see the giant Halloween cat before an early night! What a day!- Home

We believe that home learning is an important way of reinforcing and developing the learning that has taken place in the classroom. It also helps to develop the learner's ability to work independently and demonstrate and develop the transferable learning attributes.
It is strongly recommended that all students, in addition to set home learning work, carry out some reading each and every day.
Home learning will be monitored closely, and feedback provided to students.

22/10/2026Today’s Halloween bake sale was a HUGE success!
As ever, our wonderful parents and carers provided the most amazing selection of cakes and treats, helping to raise an incredible £307.24 to split between our four house charities.

21/10/2026We had the pleasure of welcoming printmaker Sophie Brogden to the art department yesterday. Year 10 were taught different printing techniques, including lino printing and creating botanical monoprints.
The final results were outstanding, well done Year 10 👏

20/10/2026Members of our student council met with the Senior Six this morning, to provide feedback and and queries from the rest of the student population.
These invaluable sessions ensure our students feel represented and listened to, making a real difference to their experiences in school.

19/10/2026Today, our Year 11 students took part in their Mindset for Exams assembly.
Mock exams take place after half term and these are such an important way for students to practice the processes and demands of an exam environment, as well as refining revision skills.
