25/10/2024It’s been a week of Rewards Assemblies; an opportunity for our students to receive recognition for their effort and hard work over the first half of the term. Well done to all our award winners!
Wishing everyone a restful half term break!

9/10/2024A big thank you to this wonderful person and everyone who has donated a book from our Love Reading Wish list, it is so exciting to receive books for our new library. The new space we have is magnificent and we would really like all our shelves to be full of inspirational reads for all our young students, whatever their ability.
You can see the Woolmer Hill wish lists here...

9/10/2024It's Wellbeing Week and we have been enjoying lots of activities related to mindfulness and positive mental health, including Music Meditation and Mindful Origami.
We are focusing not just on our own wellbeing but also looking out for that of others too, which is vital when you are part of a large community. As part of this, students have been writing Acts of Kindness cards during their Identity sessions, showing their appreciation and support for their peers. Some of our Year 10 cards are in the photograph below. ☺️
To end our Wellbeing Week, on Friday we will be supporting Young Minds and holding our Hello Yellow Mufti Day. All students and staff are invited to come to school in home clothes with a dash of yellow! In exchange for wearing their own clothes, students are asked to make a suggested donation of £2 to YoungMinds and this can be done via our Just Giving page linked below. 🌼🌞⭐️

2/10/2024A reminder to all our current parents and students that school finishes at 12.55pm tomorrow due to Open Evening.
An email has been sent out this morning about the rearrangement of school transport.
The canteen will NOT be open at 12.55pm but will be serving both before school and at break as normal.
2/10/2024We are looking forward to opening our doors and welcoming families of students in Years 5 & 6 to our annual Open Evening, tomorrow, Thursday 3rd October 2024, 4.30pm-7pm.
Miss Talbot will be holding Headteacher Talks at 4.45pm and 5.45pm and these are bookable via the Eventbrite link on our website. Please note that the 5.45pm talk is now fully booked.
https://www.woolmerhill.surrey.sch.uk/1299/open-evening
If you do not wish to attend a Headteacher Talk, you can visit the school at any time over the evening and booking is not required. Please be aware that the event finishes at 7pm so please arrive at least an hour before this to allow enough time to view the school before the evening ends.
We are expecting a large number of visitors to school throughout the evening and as parking on site is limited, we would strongly encourage families to car share, park & stride or make drop off and collection arrangements where possible.
There will be a one way system in operation in the car park and around the rugby club and The Edge, to keep traffic flowing.
We look forward to welcoming you to our school.

30/09/2024Our brand new library is now fully up and running providing bright new study spaces with amazing views over our grounds and a great selection of reading resources including books, magazines and periodicals. Mrs Ewing can also be found in the library and is always on hand for advice and guidance on the next best read!
As a much larger space though we need some new stock to fill our shelves and to provide our students with as many reading resources as we can. So, how can you help?....
Firstly, we have over 400 overdue library books! Which if they were all returned would go a long way to filling a fair few shelves. Please, if you know your child has a book or two belonging to the library in their room at home, please return it as soon as possible.
The other way to help us expand our resources, is via the online book store linked below, which allows you to browse books by age and genre and also has recommendations and advice for all young readers. There is a 10% discount too and when you buy books with them, they will also donate 25% of the cover price to a school of your choice! Plus, there is a Woolmer Hill wish list if you wanted to donate a book to the new library.
https://www.lovereading4kids.co.uk/school/15301
We are looking forward to creating the next generation of avid readers and bibliophiles!
